I've been tagged!!!

I was tagged by the lovely Kelli over at A Few of my Favorite Things! Here's the rules, you have to write 6 random things about yourself, so here goes.....

1. B and I met when he stole my parking spot before work. I was late already and didn't know he worked with me. I ran in trying to explain to my manager that I was late due to this JERK stealing my parking spot. As I spotted the JERK, I said to my manager, don't help him and my manager said hey Abby have you met my little brother B? I about died!!!

2. I was a swimmer in high school and my mom bet me one season that if I broke the school record int he 100 free I could get my belly button pierced. There was no way I would break the record I was at least 3 seconds off......Well, I ended up breaking the record by more than 2 seconds, and I got my belly button pierced!!

3. I have been a dancer all my life, I started at the age of three and have continued my entire life! I even coached a high school dance team when I lived in B's hometown.....Yeah they rocked, we won state 2 years in a row!!!
4. B and I actually got engaged on HIS birthday! After opening his presents he told me there was one more present.....I said I didn't get him anything else, he pulled out the ring box, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.....I happily said YES!!!
5. I have a slight fixation with watermelon!! I absolutely love it!!! I have been known to eat a whole on in one sitting!!!

6. I am also in love with weddings......I would kill to become a full time wedding and event planner!! I have a wedding blog and love seeing couples go through the planning process!! Check it out it's I thee Wed!!

Terrific Tuesday.....

Why is it a terrific Tuesday you might ask........Although I woke up with a mind numbing migraine this morning I have had a pretty good day! No specific reason, just was bound and determined that I was going to take control of my day and not let the outside world taint my day!!!

So here is how my day started....

Then I decided I was going to have a good day, so my post is dedicated to all things that are making me smile and excited!!!

This fabulous dress from Nordstrom that I simply MUST have for fall!!
Then I need these shoes to go with the cute dress, some tights and VIOLA! I am set to go!!

Although I would love this bag, it's only a mere $995, I think it would be great for fall and winter, but I can find a knock off for much, MUCH less!!

We are going home this weekend to celebrate our nieces 3rd birthday! It's a princess theme, what more could a 3 year old want!

Ruby is almost potty trained!!!

Weekend wrap up....

B and I had a great weekend! It was relaxing, and we even were able to have a date night!! We won free tickets to Live on the Levee to see One Republic. We had no idea how great our seats would be!! Here are some pictures I took from my new camera!!

They grow up so fast!!!

We've now had Ruby a little over a month and man how time flies!! She is now a healthy, happy, energetic puppy!! She loves to cuddle, swim and chew on sticks!! We took some pictures of her last weekend and I thought I would share them with you! Enjoy!

Things that are making me happy these days!!!

One of my best friends in the whole world is getting ready to have her first son! I'm so excited for her and her husband, they will be wonderful parents! I'm also very excited that I am helping throw her a baby shower in September!!!

The thought of someday having a kitchen like this.......a girl can dream!!

Our upcoming wedding anniversary!! These past two years have been the greatest and most fulfilling ones of my life! B is still my best friends and I truly believe he is my soul mate...love you honey xxoo!

Birthday Wrap-Up

Yesterday was my 26th birthday! I had a great day and my day was started with my mom, stepdad and sister singing to me over the phone in the most annoying voices!! It was perfect!! During lunch I was surprised to find B home and I convinced him to let me open some presents!! I did and I absolutely love what I got.

Cards from all my loved ones!

I gave my mom and stepdad no ideas what so ever, to my pleasant surprise I absolutely loved everything!!! I'm actually wearing one of the shirts today!!! Way to go rents!!

I paired this shirt with black slacks, red heels, red earrings and a red necklace!! I think it's pretty cute!!

They also got me some great pieces from Banana which I love....oh and I'm carrying the purse today!

These sandals complete the outfit!!

This weekend I will be going shopping for a new wallet compliments of my mom & stepdad as well as a new digital camera thanks to my dad & stepmom!!
My dad & stepmom sent me some great gifts as well! These napkins match my green place mats perfectly!!

This L wine stopper will be an added bonus to not finishing a bottle of wine! (like that ever happens!!)

For Christmas my dad & stepmom got us a ice cream making bowl that goes with our Kitchen Aid mixer, so to go along with that theme they got me a n ice cream recipe book! I can't wait to try it!

My Lovely husband B did a great job surprising the heck out of me!! Once again I gave him no ideas and all of his gifts were amazing! He first got me an ipod dock!! My I just say, I am in love with this thing! It's an alarm clock, radio and you can wake upto your ipod if you would like!!

He also surprised me with the new Coldplay cd, I highly suggest buying it and some new duds from Nordstrom!!

I was completely shocked when I opened up a new pair of Seven Jeans!! (I heart Seven's) They are my favorite cut of all Dojo and all that needs to be done is some hemming!

To accompany my new jean B also got me this very cute Michael Kors shirt!! Love it!! The pieces look great together!

I have to say my favorite gift of all was that B recreated my mom's homemade chicken and noodle recipe!! I've had this meal on my birthday since I can remember and last night he made it for me, complete with our "you are special" plate! It tasted perfect and I was in heaven!!

All in all I had a wonderful birthday!!! I hope to share many more with my loved ones when we move back to Iowa!

Update on Ruby

Last night B & I went to see our little girl and it was by far the saddest thing I have ever seen! She was in isolation in the basement, hooked up to 2 IV's and had an oxygen tube in her nose. She also has to wear a cone on her head so she doesn't pull out the IV.

When we first go in there she started wagging her tail and got excited to see us. She gave B some kisses and just curled up in my lap. Her crate was so sad, just some blankets and her food and water. The only thing that made feel a little better was that she has her favorite toy, Mr. Pheasant by her side.

We got to visit her for all of 10min and the tech said that she wasn't eating and he oxygen level wasn't where it needs to be to be able to go home. When we left her, her head was slumped down and that little face just looked at us, like mom & dad don't leave me!! I cried when we left, but have to remember that we are getting he the best care she needs right now!

Today was a better day, she ate a little bit, but the food looks gross that they give her so I told them we had brought her own food, and to try and give her some of that! We will be bringing her some chicken and rice tonight(the vet said that's good for sick puppies!).

We talked with the doctor and Ruby is perking up today, she just needs to work on getting her oxygen level up without being on supplemented oxygen. We are going to see her again tonight and I hope my heart isn't ripped out once again when we have to leave.....I never thought I would fall this head over heels in love with a puppy!!
