Wood floor progress

I thought I would give you a sneak peak of our new wood floor that is going in as I type this.  We, I say that like I have anything to do with it....B has been working very hard at getting it all down.  This is through our great room, kitchen, entry way and hallway.  We are then carpeting the back hallway and the bedrooms.  We were able to move up the capet installation date from Monday to Friday!  We should be moving in this weekend.

The floor we chose is a dark hickory floor.  We have oak trim and cabinets, which is not my favorite, but with the new floor and fresh paint, I am able to stand it for a while.  So here you go!  Enjoy your weekend!  Hopefully on Monday I can come back and tell you all about the move!

Ruby playing Vanna White with the new floors.  As you can see no baseboard yet, that is at the end!

Please excuse the yellowness of this pic, I took it with my phone!  We did not paint the room yellow, it's latte by Restoration Hardware.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Frustrated...stumped, the whole bit!

B and I have been looking for houses since we moved.  That would be 1 year and 2 months.  We have found NOTHING that we remotely like.  Now with a child on the way, we sped up our search.  Fast forward to this week, a seller approached my sister and said would B & A be interested in our house.  My sister said well I can see, he said the price is XYZ.  The price was in our price range, we went, we saw, we loved it!  We forgot to ask the price ourselves..DOH!  B emails the owner, he comes back with a price that is 30K higher!!!  30K, this is not a drop in the bucket, that is a HUGE difference.  The owner said they looked at what they had in it, and they came to the conclusion that they needed to ask more....My thought, then you should have never told my sister the price was XYZ.

So today, I am frustrated beyond belief....I will report back if anything changes, but most of my hope is lost at this point!
