Snow day

It's been over 200 days since we last had snow and man oh man do we ever have snow. We are in the middle of snowmegedon. Last night the storm started around 5pm with rain and then it snowed on top of it. We also had some snow thunder which was one of the strangest things ever! We probably have about 10-12 inches of snow and a bunch of downed trees and some of our town is without power. We are just fine and safe, Brendan is at work today but all schools are closed and officials have advised not to travel if you don't have to. We are used to snow here in Iowa what's proving to be such an issue is the blizzard conditions. We are having 40-50mph winds and the snow is drifting. Sounds like fun doesn't it? I took a few quick pictures of our yard so you could see what it looks like here in good ole Iowa.
