"Someone" is sleeping better

This little someone who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent and to not jinx this post and our sanity. However this little person for the past four nights has gone to bed at 7:30pm and slept until 2 or 2:30am, woken up eaten 5oz. gone right back to sleep and slept until 5:30 or 6am. This is a far cry from my last post where we were up every 1.5 hours.

So the changes we've made...Only one, we gave said wee little one rice cereal before bed. He loves it! We have given it to him these past four nights and apparently it agrees with this little "someone". We've given it to him at 6:30pm and then started his regular bedtime routine(bath, bottle, book, rock to sleep) partially due to how messy he is. This little man likes to take a bite of cereal, then stick his hand in this mouth then wipe his hand in his face, on his Bumbo seat, on his feet.

This is the first time he had rice cereal. His face is too funny, like mom what the heck is this stuff. This isn't my formula. I will say both Brendan and I were sitting right there, hence the Bumbo on the table and the syringe with the pink stuff is his Zantac just in case you were wondering.

So although rice cereal has no nutritional value for wee little one, it has helped him sleep and gets him ready for fruits and veggies at 6 months.
B and I have very much been enjoying more sleep and a little "someone" has seemed to be a happier baby altogether. Sleep seems to do us all well.

This one has nothing to do with this post, I just thought it was cute. Have a blessed day!

That is such great news Abby! I can't imagine how great you feel. Our neighbors were just telling us the same thing about their son. They thought that he was colicky, every doctor told them so. Then they sought out one more opinion from another doctor and he pretty much told them that your baby is just really hungry! So after a week of rice cereal in the bottle (he was only two months old then) his fussiness stopped and he started sleeping better. Sometimes your just get a really hungry baby! Glad you didn't have to try sleep training yet, I hope this continues to work for you.

I'm glad that your little guy is sleeping better! Hopefully it only improves from here. Doesn't it make you feel like a brand new person to finally get a decent stretch of sleep?
