Our upcoming vacation

B and I are headed on a little vacation in a few short weeks, we are heading to Grand Cayman and looking for some fun and sun. Neither of us have ever been there before and I would love to hear if any of you have been there and your suggestions on where to go, where to eat, and some fun activities perhaps.

Brendan and I each have a bit of a different idea of our ideal vacation. He loves to do "stuff", my idea vacation is a beach chair, a large sun hat and a drink with an umbrella in it. We do however compromise and do a bit of both. Thus far, we've checked out Stingray City and plan to do a snorkel trip and visit the stingray's. Other than that, we've got nothin... We are staying on Seven Mile Beach if that helps you out.  I would love to hear your suggestions!  Have a great week!

We had a cruise stop in Grand Cayman last August. Seven Mile Beach was awesome and definitely check out Stingray City, so cool. I also believe there is a sea turtle farm that's supposed to be amazing.

We went on a cruise in February and our first stop was Grand Cayman. We did not do too much only for the fact that we had to be back on the ship within 8 hours. We spent the entire time on Seven Mile Beach relaxing with drinks. We were rather surprised we made it to the ship on time ;) One of the cleaner islands we have been too. Our friends went to the turtle farm and loved it, so would recommend that. The shopping is great too. If you would like to buy more diamonds this is the island to do so. We want to go back.

If you haven't been yet, check out the restaurant by the pool at Sunshine Suites! Awesome food! If you're looking for something fancier/more romantic check out Calypso Grill (the sticky toffee pudding is to die for!) or Periwinkle (this one is inside the Ritz) - get the truffle fries! Red Sail sports offers an amazing sunset cruise! Stingray City is a must! I'd skip the turtle farm if you don't have kids with you- not terribly impressive for adults! Hell is a neat day trip- they have a post office if you want to send mail from Hell! Rum Point is crammed with tourists and cruise people, so I'd skip that unless that's your scene. 7 Mile Beach is amazing!!! You'll have a fantastic time!!!
