What Drew's been up to

Drew hit the 20 month mark recently, so I thought I'd document some of the new things he's been up to.

These past couple of months his language has exploded. He now is consistently putting two or three word phrases together. His fav "I want some" or "what dat". His favorite words have to be Elmo, Ruby, however that sounds a bit like wooby and choo-choo. He's now better able to tell us what he would like in regards to food, drink, toys etc.

Recently we enrolled Drew in a mom and me tot gymnastics class. So far he's having a blast and is loving the trampolines and foam pit. Brendan and I get a kick out of taking him. All the little kiddos in his class are between 18 months and 2 years old. With him going to gymnastics he has now picked u galloping, this is now how we get most places.

Drew is still a bit of a picky eater but us getting better, or so I hope. He's still a huge pasta fan, loves any kind of chicken or meatballs. However, he has now added lunchmeat sandwiches to his rotation. So far we've only tried turkey but maybe we are on to something... We can hope. He's still not a fan of any potato, no mashed, no roasted, grilled, baked, nada. I do think it's a texture thing. He's not a fan of bananas, but loves all other fruit.

This past weekend we put up our Christmas decor, Drew absolutely loves the lights and the tree. Whenever he is home the lights must be on. Holidays with a toddler are a blast! Although as you can see above, he was not a fan of Santa at all!

Drew seems to be getting better with sleeping. Last night he slept from 7:30-6:15am. I'll take that any day! Now if only we could get in a good habit of sleeping until say 6 every morning.

Overall Drew is doing great and growing like a weed. At his latest check up he had grown 3 inches and gained 2lbs.
